Introduced weeds are a major threat to the natural environment, impacting biodiversity, ecosystem function, soil and water quality. Invading land making it less productive, competing for sapce, nutrients and sunlight as well as choking waterways, poisoning and harming native animals and stock. Coordinated efforts to remove weeds across property borders and across country by land managers and indigenous Rangers.

Kimberley Nature Project
The Kimberley Nature Project has worked extensively with Traditional Owners and ranger groups to protect country and support natural cultural resource management projects in the Kimberley.

World Heritage
The Central WA coastline features two World Heritage Areas. Ningaloo Coast and Shark Bay, listed for exceptional natural beauty and significant biological diversity, which are under threat.
